CROW - FIG - CHESNUT COLLECTION
Twenty years ago, Charo Froján and Alfredo Olmedo created D-Due, a cult firm that sought out noble, sustainable woven fabrics and sponsored tailoring in garments that include artistic intervention. Crow, fig, chesnut is a collection by D-Due, presented in Latin America by 90_20.
The label’s iconography takes us to a landscape of figs, chestnuts and deer; a fairy-tale world with one foot in the forest and the other on the seashore. Fabric becomes a canvas that receives interventions, affording garments with content and movement. This is the way they understand it and it is the way they screenprint it or draw on it by hand, creating stories that are an unfiltered expression of the emotions lived in rural Galicia.
